Canvas

Canvas is Elkhart’s digital classroom — it’s the platform where teachers and students connect, share, and learn—anytime, anywhere.

Teachers use Canvas to:

  • Post assignments and resources
  • Lead discussions
  • Share important updates

Students use Canvas to:

  • Turn in assignments
  • Access class materials
  • Take quizzes
  • Join discussions

All middle and high school students have Canvas accounts. It’s the hub for learning—right at their fingertips.

Accessing Canvas

Parents can access their student’s classes on Canvas through the parent portal and see assignments, resources, and check grades. To access Canvas parent accounts, follow the directions below.

  1. Go to elkhart.instructure.com
  2. Click on Parent Access in the top right corner.
  3. Sign up for a parent account.
  4. You will need a student pairing code to create an account (what is a pairing code and how do I get one?)
  5. After you create an account, log in to elkhart.instructure.com anytime to see your student’s work, assignments, grades, comments, and to communicate with the teacher.
