The Symphonic Band is an auditioned band at Elkhart High School. 

How does a student get involved in Symphonic Band?
Students earn a spot in the Symphonic Band through a competitive audition process. The prerequisite is Beginning or Intermediate Band.

When does the Symphonic Band practice?
The Symphonic Band rehearses during the school day, with occasional after school rehearsals.

Does the Symphonic Band perform for the community?
The Symphonic Band performs four times throughout the year, including the Winter Concert, ISSMA Preview Concert, ISSMA Festival, and the Spring Concert.

Does the Symphonic Band compete in music competitions?
No. The Symphonic Band performs annually at the ISSMA High School Organization Festival, which is a non-competitive event.
