Students earn a spot in the Blue Orchestra through a competitive audition process. The prerequisite is 8th Grade Orchestra.

The Blue Orchestra rehearses during the school day.
 
Does the Blue Orchestra perform for the community?
The Blue Orchestra performs five times throughout the year, including the String Festival, Winter Concert, ISSMA Preview Concert, ISSMA Festival, and the Spring Concert.
 
Does the Blue Orchestra compete in music competitions?
No. The Blue Orchestra performs annually at the ISSMA High School Organization Festival, which is a non-competitive event.
