Health Services

At Elkhart High School, we know that healthy students learn better. Our school nurses are here to support student well-being by providing care, guidance, and health resources to ensure a safe and successful school experience.

How School Nurses Support Students

Our school nurses are dedicated to keeping students healthy while at school. They:

  • Help students with chronic health conditions by creating individual health plans.
  • Keep medical records up to date and communicate with families about student health needs.
  • Provide first aid and daily medical care, including administering prescription medications.
  • Offer vision and hearing screenings, referring students for additional care if needed.
  • Educate families about illness prevention and managing communicable diseases.
  • Work with Food Services to ensure allergy-related meal accommodations.
  • Train school staff to assist students with specific medical needs.
  • Serve as trusted resources and advocates for student health.

If you have questions or need assistance, our school nurses are here to help. We’re committed to keeping every student safe, healthy, and ready to learn!
