Elkhart High School recognizes the important role that co-curricular and extracurricular activities play in student development. To support students involved in athletics, music, drama, or clubs, shuttle buses run daily between the EHS Main Campus (grades 10-12) and the EHS Freshman Division.
General Shuttle Guidelines
- Students using shuttle buses will not be excused from school early.
- Students must remain in their advisory period at the Main Campus (grades 10-12) and their Impact period at the Freshman Division until dismissal.
- In-season student-athletes have priority on the first shuttle. Overflow shuttles are available but arrive later.
- Shuttle buses are not intended as a normal bus route home.
Freshman Division to Main Campus (10-12) Shuttle
- Freshmen must wait on the sidewalk to the far west of the bus line in front of the Freshman Division building.
- Bus 5, the first shuttle, arrives between 3:50 and 3:55 p.m. and reaches the Main Campus around 4:10 p.m., dropping off at Door 12.
- Bus 98, the overflow shuttle, will be parked next to Bus 5 and will leave after Bus 5 has departed.
Main Campus (10-12) to Freshman Division Shuttle
- Students must report to Door 16 by the weight room.
- Bus 148, the first shuttle, arrives between 4 and 4:10 p.m., dropping off at Rice Field and the Freshman Division between 4:15 and 4:25 p.m.
- Bus 5, the overflow shuttle, picks up students between 4:10 and 4:15 p.m., dropping off at Rice Field and the Freshman Division between 4:25 and 4:30 p.m.
